Sign-up to Host a National Media Training House Party!
On Thursday, January 17th, progressive activists will gather in house parties all over the country to learn how we can take back our media. These unique house parties will cover the fundamentals of getting the media to cover progressive issues and events in your community.
We have everything you need for the two-hour event, including a training video to start the evening, instructions for joining a live webcast with a national media expert, and details on running a real-life practice scenario with your guests. All the trainings will take place from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, regardless of what time zone you live in, on the evening of Thursday, January 17th.
But in order for this to work, we need individuals like you to host a media training house party.
Step One: Start by signing up!
You can begin by signing-up below. After you fill out your information, we'll send you a DVD of the training video. Over the next few weeks, you'll get confirmation emails from attendees as they sign-up to join your party, as well as emails from us to walk you through the details of being a host.
Note: Since the training is taking place this Thursday, we no longer have time to mail a DVD to you. If you are still interested in hosting a house party training, you will need to be able to download the training video and display it on your computer during the evening. It is 100MB large and available in both Quicktime and Windows Media Player.
To make sure you understand all the details of being a host, it's important to take a few minutes and read through the detailed description of the event and what it means to host a training.
