Pennsylvania Political Leaders Fellowship

Application Part 2: Essays and Resume


The application below is designed to help you articulate your experience, your skills, and your progressive vision, and how you see the Fellowship program helping you accomplish your political and leadership goals and the needs of your community.


We will use the following criteria to evaluate applicants:

  • Vision. Applicant articulates a strong personal vision for progressive change.
  • Experience. Applicant has been significantly engaged as a leader of community and/or political activity and demonstrates tangible results.
  • Drive. Applicant has a strong interest in running for local or state elected office or taking a non-elected leadership role with a major impact on their community within the next two to five years.
  • Networks. Applicant has demonstrated the ability to develop strong community and/or political networks. Applicant is well regarded in his or her region by his or her peers.
  • Commitment. Applicant demonstrates a strong and lasting commitment to public service.
  • Inspiration. Applicant inspires civic action through his or her vision and deeds.
