Are you fighting for a living wage on your campus, trying to stop tuition raises, raising awareness about climate change in your neighborhood? Whatever your issue...we all need volunteers to help fuel our efforts.

 

Develop the skills for effectively recruiting young volunteers, including college students, and keeping them involved in your issues and campaigns. This training is specifically designed for youth organizers.

 

Details of the Training

 

The Volunteer Youth Network Training includes a 25-minute training video and a 45-minute practice skills session that helps you and your guests develop a plan for targeting young volunteers and a message that will resonate with them. The training covers the following topics:

  • How to recruit volunteers
  • Why volunteers get involved
  • How to make the ask
  • Best ways to keep people excited and engaged
  • How to build leaders in your campaign or group

Host Your Own Network Training

 

To host your own Impacting the Volunteer Youth Network Training, all you need to do is sign up below. We'll provide you with the training video (you can either download a digital version or buy a DVD), as well as detailed instructions for hosting the training. Network trainings are designed to work with anywhere between 3 and 25 people.
